Ripristino di ecosistemi acquatici nelle aree protette di Alpi e Pirenei

We are on the iNaturalist platform!

,

The LIFE RESQUE ALPYR project, dedicated to the conservation and restoration of high mountain aquatic ecosystems in the Pyrenees and the Alps, has taken another step towards citizen participation by creating a profile on the iNaturalist platform.

This initiative aims to involve the public in the collection of data on the flora and fauna of the territory, a fundamental tool for monitoring biodiversity and implementing conservation measures.

Why iNaturalist?

iNaturalist is a web platform that helps us record global biodiversity. In other words, it turns anyone with a computer or a mobile phone into someone who can contribute their observations to science. The platform helps you identify species, locate them on a map, and you can even collaborate in different projects with specific objectives being developed on it.

Maintaining an interest in the biodiversity around us helps us better understand the importance of preserving and caring for it. This open-source platform also allows you to organize all your observations, and it has an app available for both Android and iOS.

Through the new LIFE RESQUE ALPYR profile, anyone interested can contribute to identifying species found in the Pyrenees and help build a more complete map of the region’s biodiversity.

How to join the project on iNaturalist?

Participating is very simple:

  • Access the iNaturalist platform (web or mobile app).
  • Search for the project profile: LIFE RESQUE ALPYR.
  • Click on the members button.
  • Start uploading your observations of species found in the Pyrenees.

With each contribution, you will not only expand scientific knowledge but also contribute to more efficient and sustainable management of our natural environment.
