Pleta de Molières is located inside the SCI Aigüestortes. This area is one of the best examples of wet hay meadows in the Pyrenees but it is affected by the abandonment of traditional meadow uses. The practice of mowing was abandoned at least 30 years ago and therefore these landscapes experienced homogenisation and biodiversity loss. The conservation actions are based on a combination of mowing, removal of biomass (harvesting) and extensive livestock farming.
