It is situated in the SCI Aigüestortes in the strict protection area of Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.In this lake we are applying rapid trout eradication protocols and an experimental minnow eradication protocol, to optimize the efforts needed to achieve a complete fish eradication and to increase the replicability of this conservation strategy.
