It is situated in the SCI Aigüestortes in the area of strict protection of the Parc Nacional d’Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici. In this lake we are applying trout eradication protocols to optimize the efforts needed to achieve a complete fish eradication and to increase the replicability of this conservation strategy.
