The lake is situated in the SCI Mont Avic and SPA Mont Avic and Mont Emilius, a large wilderness area located in the mountains of the municipalities of Champdepraz and Champorcher (Aosta). In this lake we are conducting rapid trout eradication protocols. This action aims to optimize the efforts needed to achieve total fish eradication, to increase the replicability of this conservation strategy.
